CTR appoints The Hon. Julie Bishop as Special Advisor to the Board
It is with great pleasure that Controlled Thermal Resources formally announces the appointment of The Honorable Julie Bishop as Special Advisor to the Board.
Ms Bishop served as the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2013 to 2018 and was Deputy Leader of the Australian Liberal Party from 2007 to 2018.
CTR’s Hell’s Kitchen Lithium and Power project came to Ms Bishop’s attention earlier this year. After several very interesting meetings on the future of clean energy, Julie was keen to become involved at a strategic level.
“The combination of clean energy and lithium production makes the CTR project an important development for resource security in the United States. The fact an Australian team is leading this development makes it an important partnership between our nations, economically and strategically,” Julie noted.
“The technology revolution is changing our world profoundly. Clean energy and storage are two of the most important technologies in driving that revolution. CTR’s project captures some of the best aspects of both and I am delighted to support the development of this world-class clean energy project.”
Julie will provide strategic advice to CTR’s board and leadership team and will assist in identifying the right mix of long-term partners with an equal commitment to develop a secure and sustainable lithium and renewable energy industry in the United States.
On behalf of CTR’s Board of Directors, we are excited to welcome Julie to the CTR family. We look forward to developing our future strategies with the added wealth of Julie’s considerable international experience, exceptional diplomacy track record, and insightful knowledge-base.
